File yang dibutuhkan :
1. Donlod GarminXTv5.00.60
2. Donlod MapNavNet1.63
3. Donlod AllVehices
4. Donlod VoiceIndo disini
5. Donlod garminKeyg dan converter disini
Step 2 :
1. Semua file di ekstrak dl...

2. Buka folder GarminXT5.00.60 yg udah di ekstrak >> delete file gmsup.ini di folder garmin - folder apps .

3. Buka MapNavnet1.63 >> install file.exenya ke pc >> pilih aja "create garmin map - pilih jg full customize" >> ntar di pc ada folder baru namanya my maps >> buka >> liat file gmapsupp.img >> copas ke folder garminXT - folder garmin.

4. Copas semua isi all vehicles (.srf) ke folder Garmin - Vehicle.

5. Copas file voice Indo ke folder Gamin - Voice.

Step 3 :
Set file menjadi hidden >>( caranya sorot file yg mau di hide >> klik kanan mouse >> pilih properties >> centang hidden >> ok )
file yg mau di hide di bawah ini:

1. Buka folder Vehicle, set semua file Vehicle (.srf) menjadi hidden.
2. Buka folder POI, set file speedcam.bmp menjadi hidden.
3. Buka folder Jpeg, set semua file menjadi hidden.
4. Buka folder Help, set folder help menjadi hidden.
5. Buka folder Font, set semua file dgn ekstension.bin menjadi hidden.

Step 4 :
Buat file SW.UNL :
caranya :

1. Buka app imei convert di pc >> masukin imei hp kamu >> generate

2. Buka jg Garmin Kygn >> Hasil generate imei di copas ke kotak " enter your unit ID " >> pastikan select software product adalah GarminXT >> klik generate >> nah code inilah ID unlock kamu di hp.

3. Copas code "software unlock ID" ke New text document di pc >> save.

4. Karena New text documentnya masi berekstension .txt maka hrs diubah ke ektension .UNL :
* caranya >> rename new text document.txt menjadi SW.UNL ( INGAT:: setelah rename >> harus tanpa txt yak)
* kalo ada peringatan dr windows saat rename >> dicuekin aja yak.

* Copas file SW.UNL yg udah dibuat ke folder Garmin.

Colok kabel data ke E71 >> pilih via Mass Storage >> copas 4 folder dan 1 file yaitu: Garmin, Private, Resource, Sys dan garminxt.sis ke Memory Card(drive E) >> kalo ada peringatan overwrite all >> pilih yes.

(PERHATIAN: waktu copy paste keempat folder ke MMC, jangan membuat folder baru lg di MMC..maksudnya,jgn meletakkan folder garmin menjadi sub folder di MMC)

Step 7 :
1. Kalo udah kelar, selanjutnya cabut kabel data( kadang2 di E71 ada muncul installing bla bla bla..di cuekin aja)

2. Buka xplore atao file manager >> buka drive E >> buka file garminXT.sis >> tunggu aja proses installingnya sampe selesai.

3. Setelah diinstall, exit file manager atao xplore >> buka folder installation >> liat icon garmin >> buka .

4. Ikuti step wizardnya ampe selesai .>> pilih bahasa english.

5. Kalo mau liat sukses diunlock apa blom, liat di tools >> setting >> about. ( unlock ESN : xxxxxxxxx)

lock signal :
1. Liat icon signal dah ijo lom? kalo blom..ya ditungguin berapa menit gt..

2. Disarankan tungguin signalnya di t4 terbuka..

3. Atao cb utak atik settingannya biar cepet ngelock misalnya : set address >> spell >> nama propinsi >> kabupaten >> kota. ( ga perlu akurat spellnya, soale ntar kalo udah ngelock satelitnya, dia otomatis view your location koq) dan aktifkan settingan A-GPS (enable) biar cepet ngelock.

The hack to make this player Region Free is as follows:
On the Remote, select Home Menu
Select Initial Settings, hit enter.
Scroll to Options and select OSD on the remote.
A black bar will appear at the bottom with the Region # and ROM VERSION.
Enter 3570 on the remote. The unit will switch off. Turn it back on and it is now region free.

Step 1 Please turn off all power using remote
Step 2 Turn On Power
Step 3 Eject Tray - Player will display NO DISC
Step 4 Enter Setup and navigate to preferences page
Step 5 Type 138931 on your remote
Step 6 Player will display Default Region Code
Step 7 Use up down arrow keys and select 0(Zero) for All Regions
Step 8 Hit Enter

Firmware v17 Upgrade

Check your current version
It’s important to write down the Software Version information of your DVD player before you start the upgrade procedure. This information is also useful in case you need to call Philips Customer Care Center.
1. POWER ON the set
2. Press SETUP key to enter SETUP menu
3. Press < or > to navigate to GENERAL menu
4. Press keys 1,3,7,9 successively
5. Check the software version of the set by looking at the last 2 digits Example: Version xx.xx.xx.15
6. Compare the software version for this upgrade (V17) with the version on your set. If this upgrade version is later than the version on your set, proceed to Step 2.

Upgrading the firmware of your Player (USB)
Important: Remove any discs from the tray before USB device is inserted. Note: Do not press any buttons or interrupt the mains supply during the upgrading process, otherwise the player may become defective.
1. Extract the firmware upgrade files from the ZIP archive(DVP5996K_V17.zip)
(Do not rename the filename) Note: Please check to ensure that your USB storage device can be detected by the recorder before trying to upgrade the firmware using this method. If the USB storage device cannot be detected, please follow STEP 3 to STEP 4 to upgrade using an Optical Disc. Note: Please use a FLASH based USB storage device. The startup time for HDD based USB storage device is too slow and cannot be used for firmware upgrade.
2. Unzip the file and place the file on a USB flash storage device (at least 64Mb in size).
3. Turn the player on and when it is running, insert the USB flash storage device.
4. Press 'USB' on the remote control
5. A dialogue will now appear - follow the instructions to update the software of your player.
6. When the disc tray is ejected, you may remove the USB device.
Caution: Do not unplug or power off the set while upgrading is in progress Note: Please make sure you delete the upgrade file from the USB device before using it on the player again. This will prevent the player from performing the upgrade again. Your product is successfully upgraded!

6. root>fdisk -l
feedbacknya : cari partisi linux Ubuntu lama (misalkan /dev/sda10)
7. root> mkdir /media/sda10
8. root> mount /dev/sda10 /media/sda10
9. root> cd /media/sda10
10. root#media/sda10>ls
11. root#media/sda10>grub
12. grub>root (hd0,x) <== hasil yang tadi 13. grub>setup (hd0)
14. grub>quit
15. root#media/sda10>cd /boot/grub
16. root#media/sda10>gedit menu.lst
17. Rubah boot name Other OS ke windows XP
18. Simpan menu.lst, keluar
19. reboot
20. Selesai.
